Since May 2019, individuals have come forward to claim they were assaulted by A-list designer Alexander Wang. One male model named Owen Mooney said he was groped by the 39-year-old at a nightclub in 2017. "I was by myself at one point, and this guy next to me obviously took advantage of the fact that no one could f**king move," he said. Other alleged victims said Wang would drug unsuspecting people so he could assault them.

Mooney added, “[Wang] just started touching me up, like, fully up my leg, in my crotch. It made me freeze completely because I was in so much shock.” He continued, "And then I look to my left to see who it was, and it was a really famous fashion designer, and I just couldn't believe that he was doing that to me.”

A transman made similar claims, stating he was drugged in a limousine by Wang, as reported by The Sun. A DJ, Gia Garrison, accused Wang of sexual abuse in 2017. Garrison said he met Wang in early 2017 in Manhattan and claimed he was "dancing near him when he reached out his hand, grabbed my bikini bottoms, and dragged it downward."

A young student named Keaton Bullen echoed these allegations, and informed BBC he was assaulted at the Fishbowl nightclub on August 24, 2019. Apparently, Wang groped him while they were dancing. "All of a sudden, he unzipped my trousers, put his hands in my pants, and started grabbing my penis in front of a bunch of people. I completely froze," Bullen recalled the terrifying experience. "He then said: 'I want to take you home with me. I felt weirded out... and removed myself from the situation as fast as possible."

Nick, a young man who met Wang in 2017, said he was sexually assaulted in New York. “I blacked out at one club and found him giving me a hand job,” he said. “The second time, I blacked out in our Uber and woke up to getting oral from him in the car. I honestly feel so embarrassed and manipulated.”

These are just a few of the reports that have been made about Wang. Sadly, many of these accounts have become a shout in the void, only to be forgotten and ignored by the fashion industry. Celebrities continue to wear his clothes, and the Fashion Calendar – as well as the Model Alliance – proceed to support him.

Wang, of course, denied these allegations and later apologized, vowing to "do better." But his victims and those who truly care about victims won’t forget, even if the fashion industry wants to continue turning a blind eye.
