A woman recently came forward to finally recount the experiences in which she was sexually abused by R. Kelly when she was only a teenager. She went by the anonymous name Jane, and the 37-year-old gave a testimony during the trial with harrowing details of how R. Kelly groomed her, filmed sex tapes with her, and even urinated on her.

The jury in R. Kelly's Chicago trial deliberated for 10 hours and found him guilty on three counts of producing child sex abuse images and three counts of alluring minors to engage in criminal sexual activity. However, they acquitted his former business manager Derrel McDavid of conspiring to receive child sexual abuse images.

R. Kelly was responsible for creating child sex abuse images in 2008, including a video where he sexually assaulted and urinated on Jane, who testified in court. Jane chose not to testify in a previous trial but decided to come forward now in order to reveal the truth that he groomed her and coerced her into having sex with him hundreds of times when she was a minor.

She was a singer whom R. Kelly paid attention to, telling her she was talented and then eventually luring her in to sexually abuse her. "I did everything I could to keep that a secret," Jane said. "It was embedded in me that this could never come out."

There were three other women who testified along with Jane, and each of them said that they were underage when R. Kelly pursued them and sexually abused them. R. Kelly's attorneys attempted to claim that the witnesses were lying while also insisting that the videos weren't authentic.

“Kelly and his team, they did their level best...to cover up the fact that Robert Kelly, R. Kelly the R&B superstar, is actually a sexual predator,” Assistant US Attorney Elizabeth Pozolo said. “They did their best, but in the end, they failed.”
