Rihanna's Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show took the world by storm with her second pregnancy announcement. The singer welcomed her first child with A$AP Rocky in May 2022, and is now pregnant with her second!

The 34-year-old revealed in an interview with Vogue how becoming a mother is one of the craziest things she's ever experienced. "Oh, my God, it’s legendary,” she says, describing her first months as a mom. "It’s everything. You really don’t remember life before, that’s the craziest thing ever."

Rihanna continues, "You literally try to remember it – and there are photos of my life before – but the feeling, the desires, the things that you enjoy, everything, you just don’t identify with it because you don’t even allow yourself mentally to get that far, because…” Rihanna pauses for a moment before adding, "Because it doesn’t matter.”

The 34-year-old also had good things to say when asked about her birth. "It was beautiful,” she explains, adding she felt "blessed" because of it, but that the "head-f*ck" was real. "I cannot believe it," she says. "Essentially, from one person I became two. You walk into the hospital as a couple and leave as a family of three. It’s nuts. And oh, my gosh, those first days are insane. You don’t sleep. At all. Not even if you wanted to. We came home, cold turkey, had no one. It was just us as parents and our baby. Man, you’re a zombie for the most part.”

But Rihanna also had to come to terms with learning how to be a mom. She continues, "You’re just going through the motions, and even then you’re so paranoid. Because you’re like: they trusted us to come home with this baby? This new life? With us?” She laughs. “No doctors, no nurses, we’re just… going home?"

Despite looking forward to the future, Rih does have some concerns about raising a young black man in the U.S. “Raising a young Black man is one of the scariest responsibilities in life," she adds. "You’re like, ‘What am I leaving my kids to? This is the planet they’re gonna be living on?’”

While the media paints motherhood as a difficult task, becoming a mom has "emboldened" Rihanna. "It’s this knowing that you can do anything,” she reveals, "even things that seem the craziest, like, ‘I’m going to say yes to the Super Bowl in the middle of postpartum?’" The singer's performance at the Super Bowl was her first in 7 years. “What the heck am I thinking? But you’re geeked on a challenge like that because you know what your body just did. You feel this sense of ‘Nothing is impossible.’”

So, does this mean the singer plans on having more kids in the future? While Rihanna didn't give Vogue a definite "yes," it's possible she'll have more. “Listen, I’m down for whatever," she confesses. "My wish would be I would like to have more kids, but whatever God wants for me, I’m here."
