Ryan Reynolds is proving once again that he’s the ultimate husband, willing to go above and beyond to support Blake Lively. According to Life & Style, a source suggests the Deadpool star is prepared to make a significant financial offer to Justin Baldoni – director and co-star of It Ends With Us – to ensure that Lively can continue her role in a sequel without any lingering tension.

Reynolds is reportedly willing to offer Baldoni “millions” to buy him out of the franchise, largely due to the rumored clashes between him and Lively on set. The insider revealed, “Ryan wants to make sure she isn’t replaced in the sequel! This is the biggest film Blake has ever made.” With a box office gross of $335 million, it’s no wonder Reynolds wants to safeguard Lively’s place in the spotlight.

A lot of It Ends With Us fans are not pleased with the news. One comment by a Redditor reads, "My opinion of Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds is ridiculously low now. Before I was fairly neutral but after this debacle, I genuinely cannot stand either of them. In contrast, I think Justin Baldoni has handled himself really well. I don’t know how much attachment he has to the franchise, but I would totally understand stepping away and letting Blake run it into the ground."

It Ends With Us, an adaptation of Colleen Hoover's popular novel, has faced its fair share of criticism. Lively shone as Lily Bloom, yet fans felt the marketing mishandled the serious subject matter of domestic violence. While Lively was busy promoting her hair care line, Blake Brown Beauty, Baldoni was vocal about the very issues the film sought to address. This contrast sparked debate among fans, many of whom sided with Baldoni, claiming Lively seemed detached from the film's core message.

Behind the Scenes of the Drama

Rumors of a feud between Lively and Baldoni circulated this year, fueled by reports of “creative differences” and reports that the director made Lively uncomfortable during filming. Sources say tensions flared early on, especially during scenes that required physical contact. As Lively recently gave birth to her fourth child, it’s understandable that she might have felt sensitive about comments related to her weight.

TMZ noted that while Baldoni is generally regarded as a nice guy, his approach during filming raised eyebrows. Fans couldn’t help but speculate whether Reynolds had taken a protective stance over his wife, questioning if he was too involved in the project.

Meanwhile, Baldoni hired crisis PR expert Melissa Nathan to manage the fallout from the rumors.

Whatever the truth may be behind the scenes, one thing is certain: Ryan Reynolds is ready to back his wife, come what may, and we’re here for it.
