Why The Satanic Temple (And Cosmopolitan) Wants You To Perform An Abortion Ritual
Are we crazy or does Cosmo want you to offer your unborn baby to Satan?
The magazine many of us grew up reading and loving is long gone and it seems as if Satanists and female edge lords are running the show these days.
On November 16, Cosmopolitan magazine dropped an Instagram post promoting ritualized abortions, complete with recommendations from The Satanic Temple (TST).
They proudly introduced the temple's latest venture, an online clinic called "Samuel Alito's Mom's Satanic Abortion Clinic," which offers "religious medication abortion care" to women in New Mexico.
You may have heard that name before. Samuel Alito is the Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court. Alito recently disagreed with the decision made by the majority of the Supreme Court in a case regarding mifepristone (RU-486), otherwise known as the abortion pill. Yet, he has never said he was pro-life or pro-choice; I believe that his disagreement had more to do with the way the Court handled the case rather than abortion rights itself.
Alito's mother, however, opposed abortions – so the decision to defile her by using her name for their clinic is beyond disrespectful to both of them, but I expect no less from TST.
But back to Cosmo. In a series of posts, Cosmo shares how to complete an abortion ritual with creepy tenets that state, "One's body is inviolable, subject to one's will alone," followed by taking the abortifacient medication and then reciting the affirmation "Beliefs should conform to one's best scientific understanding of the world. One should take care never to distort scientific facts to fit one's belief." TST's recommendations urge the woman to focus on her autonomy, her body, her will alone, with another affirmation echoing a distorted version of Christ's words at the Last Supper, in the Garden of Gethsemane, and on the Cross: "By my body, my blood; by my will, it is done."
Cosmo and TST's backing of these creepy ritualized abortions is because they "fight for bodily autonomy," which is a big claim, considering how TST refused to offer exemptions for Covid-19 vaccinations for their followers, and at one point, required proof of vaccinations when they held in-person meetings.
TST also claims they actually don't worship Satan and that they're atheists, so it seems to me that they're just liberals who are trying to be cool and rebellious (the same goes for Cosmo). Imagine thinking you're the resistance when Big Pharma and mainstream media are on your side. It's all so laughable.
And while TST claims to not worship Satan, they still revere him, and celebrities' obsession with devilish imagery seems to contradict the whole notion of the "satanic panic" being a conspiracy. The depiction of Satan and the devil is on our TVs, in articles, music videos, and "artwork," so, of course, people are asking reasonable questions like, "Hey, do these people worship Satan?"
So, what does everyone have to say about Cosmo's creepy abortion post? For many, the publication seemed to promote child sacrifices. That's the same vibe I got. Some Satanic cults have also been found to sacrifice children in the past. "That’s just saying: they were right the whole time, abortion is associated with evil 😶" wrote @una_zurda.
"Since when promoting Satanic things became cool? Wtf? This world is lost…" added @taylagurgel.
@devotabi said, "Moloch is working real hard these days I see."
@annamlulis on X tweeted, "Don’t tell me 'nobody likes or celebrates abortion' when you have
@Cosmopolitan
promoting satanic abortion rituals… If you’re on the side of satanists, I’d strongly recommend reconsidering your position."
Not only does Cosmo promote Satanism and ritualized abortions, but they also promote cheating, terrible sex advice, the idea that pedophilia is a "sexual orientation," fake news, obesity, Jeffrey Epstein, and more. Is it a sign to switch to a publication that actually cares about women, truth, and beauty? At Evie, we certainly think so.
