Selena Gomez's New Album Is A Love Letter To Benny Blanco, And Fans Are Saying It's A No-Skip Album
Selena Gomez is back, head over heels in love—and her fans are just as obsessed with her latest album.

I Said I Love You First, her latest album with Benny Blanco, is a love letter wrapped in catchy songs, and according to fans, it might be the best album she’s ever released.
Gomez and Blanco, now officially the couple no one saw coming but everyone suddenly loves, created the project together. Gomez tweeted, “benny, these songs represent our past, present and future… something I can’t wait to experience with you from now until forever.”
Blanco took to social media to publicly respond to Gomez, writing, “I cant believe i got to make an album with my best friend and love of my life i love you.”
One fan noted how, for someone who famously called music her “side hobby,” Gomez is dropping an "insane" album. @ivanmoratroya said this was "her best work yet, after 16 years in the game…”
Fans were expecting something good, but they weren’t expecting this. @SELSREP wrote, “just finished listening to the album and i’m genuinely shocked and overwhelmed. this doesn’t sound like a selena gomez project AT ALL (in the most positive way possible). she did it, again. this might be her best album fr. SELENA I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU.”
The album includes collaborations with Finneas, Charli XCX, Gracie Abrams, and even a 2019 track with J Balvin and Tainy. But the heart of it truly is Gomez and her man.
@henrydelrey said, “not Selena Gomez coming out of nowhere totally unexpected with one of the best albums of the year? I swear I was not paying attention to this release but it’s so good ohh she gagged me.”
From the intimate songwriting process (Blanco said he was “constantly just writing whatever [she] said wherever we were”) to the visuals featuring Gomez’s new leading man, this era of her music feels deeply personal and super romantic.
