Saturday Night Live (SNL) aired a sketch poking fun at New York State Assemblyman Harvey Epstein by intertwining his name with notorious figures Jeffrey Epstein and Harvey Weinstein

The skit begins with a faux campaign advertisement for "Harvey Epstein," featuring John Mulaney donning a bald cap and hoop earrings. In the ad, Mulaney's character admits, “Look, is my name ideal? Of course not. I share names with two of the most notorious sex perverts of all time.” It's surprising to watch liberal-leaning SNL actually shed light on Epstein and his crimes, even in a comedic manner.

The skit surprisingly poked fun at the Clintons and their alleged connection to an underground criminal network including high-profile individuals. One side character quipped, “Even Hillary couldn’t kill this guy,” referencing Clinton’s bizarre "body count" and their suspected role in Epstein’s suicide.

The kicker is that there is a candidate for New York City Council named Harvey Epstein.

Audience Reactions

The response from viewers on social media, especially X (formerly Twitter), has been a mixed bag. Some users pointed out the mockery towards Assemblyman Epstein, raising eyebrows at SNL's boldness in linking such serious figures to a political candidate.

One comment noted how unusual it is for mainstream media to tackle figures like Jeffrey Epstein, especially when attaching them to Hillary Clinton instead of Donald Trump (who mainstream media hates). It's a huge shift in their political satire.

The Real Harvey Epstein Responds

Harvey Epstein said he had no idea that a sketch was being made about him, but admitted, “It was, like, ridiculously funny. I couldn’t stop laughing.”

Shockingly, Epstein embraced the joke and even took the opportunity to leverage his newfound fame. He encouraged his followers to support survivors of sexual assault by donating to the nonprofit RAINN.

Will more people finally be open to talking about Epstein and the Clintons? The recent SNL sketch could act as a catalyst, prompting discussions that many have avoided due to the sensitive nature of the topic. Perhaps, in due time, Epstein's list will finally be released to the public.
