Forbes just announced its Under 30 Class of 2024 to honor "600 of the brightest young entrepreneurs, leaders, and stars" – including Dylan Mulvaney.

Last year, the TikToker came under fire for reportedly "mocking" women and taking contracts and awards from companies that are supposed to be for women. One month after gaining Attitude magazine's "Woman of the Year" award, Mulvaney landed a spot on Forbes' publication for being a content creator. Might I remind you that in less than one year, Mulvaney went from being a male theater performer to a trans TikTok star. Unsurprisingly, the social media audience is not impressed with Forbes' decision to honor Mulvaney.

"@Forbes has put TikToker Dylan Mulvaney on their '30 Under 30' list. What are Dylan’s accomplishments, you ask? Playing dress up and DEMANDING you call him a woman. What a joke," writes @nicksortor on X (formerly Twitter).

Mulvaney also faced backlash last year for seemingly mocking women in his TikTok series "Days of Girlhood," where he dressed like a woman and talked about tampons. "Dylan Mulvaney appears on the cover of Forbes Magazine ‘30 Under 30,'" tweeted controversial commentator @OliLondonTV. "The magazine reveals Mulvaney has made over $2 million in the last year in endorsements & speaking engagements after going viral for his ‘days of girlhood’ series - in what many perceive as a parody of women."

I guess Forbes didn't learn from the Bud Light fiasco. When the beer company partnered with the influencer in May 2023, many people responded by boycotting, leading Bud Light to lose a staggering $15.7 billion in value. A lot of people aren't happy with how Mulvaney is being chosen to represent women, and the fact that he continues to appropriate womanhood by perpetuating gender stereotypes is, ironically, anti-feminist. So why do brands keep hiring him?
