Is there a link between a person's height and their political ideology?
According to a 2016 study from Ohio State University, if you want to predict what political party someone will support, you can take note of their height. Sara Watson, the study's co-author and assistant professor of political science at the university, said, "If you take two people with nearly identical characteristics – except one is taller than the other – on average, the taller person will be more politically conservative."
Not only are taller people more likely to be Republican, but more attractive individuals are, too. According to another 2017 study published by Cambridge University Press, "Controlling for socioeconomic status, we find that more attractive individuals are more likely to report higher levels of political efficacy, identify as conservative, and identify as Republican."
Scientific Reports also found that attractive women were more likely to be "right-wing," while women whose faces displayed contempt had higher chances of being "left-wing."
