Former law enforcement officer Maegan Hall made national headline news when she was revealed as the center of a sex scandal at the La Vergne Police Department in Tennessee. Reportedly, she was sexually involved with several different officers; four male officers were terminated—Patrol Officer Juan Lugo Perez, Sgt. Lewis Powell, Detective Seneca Shields, and Sgt. Henry Ty McGowan—and three were suspended—K-9 officer Larry Holladay, Patrol Officer Patrick Magliocco, and Patrol Officer Gavin Schoeberl. She apparently administered oral sex to Detective Shields and Sgt. Powell in the police department's gym and at the police station. Two of the officers she was involved with were her superiors. Hall is married, and her husband has allegedly decided to stay with her. However, in a new lawsuit, Hall is claiming that she was "sexually groomed."

After La Vergne Mayor Jason Cole launched an investigation into this sex scandal, it was discovered that some sexual encounters took place on city property, as well as at a houseboat party in a hot tub, where at least three officers were present along with Hall and nude photos of her were being shared. Apparently, Hall also took off her top at the booze-fueled hot tub party.
Hall admitted that she was in fact involved in these situations, but she has just filed a lawsuit on Monday in U.S. District Court in Nashville. The suit names former Police Chief Burrel “Chip” Davis and former Sgts. Lewis Powell and Henry “Ty” McGowan, claiming that Davis tried to have sex with Hall and even talked about having sex with her in text messages with one of her superiors.
“During her employment, Ms. Hall was groomed to engage in sexually exploitative activities by men in the department including Sgt. Powell, Sgt. McGowan, and Chief Davis,” the lawsuit reads. “From the beginning of her employment, Ms. Hall experienced a workplace environment permeated with sexual innuendo and sexually explicit behavior." Hall's attorneys claim that she was repeatedly asked to partake in sexual activities, which caused her to eventually acquiesce.
The suit also points to a "sexually coercive environment" and claims that her male co-workers would speak openly about their sexual experiences and exchange photos of genitals in her presence. Additionally, it claims that one of Hall's superiors requested to see all of her tattoos and asked to meet her when they were off-duty.
"They colluded in using their authority to systematically disarm her resistance and entrap her in degrading and abusive sexual relationships, even sharing tips on the best ways to manipulate and exploit her," the suit says. It alleges that Hall "sought role models" but "instead found predators."
"In place of offering professional development, her supervisors and the chief of police groomed her for sexual exploitation," it continues. "Maegan Hall felt trapped in the role assigned to her at the City of La Vergne Police Department and, in an attempt to escape, she nearly killed herself... Then, the City blamed her for everything. This lawsuit seeks justice for Maegan Hall."
