The Jonas Brothers Open Up About Their Wives Playing A Big Role In Their Music and Career: "They're Our Sounding Boards"
Since all three Jonas Brothers have become fathers, everything they do takes on a different meaning.

Born into a musically inclined family, Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas have graced the international music stage as the Jonas Brothers since 2005. Their harmonious fusion of pop and rock, combined with their genuine sibling chemistry, has resonated with audiences worldwide, propelling them to phenomenal success. Kevin plays lead guitar and lends backup vocals, Joe is a main vocalist, and Nick is a lead vocalist who plays guitar. The Jonas Brothers' journey began when they were signed by Columbia Records. Their debut album, It's About Time, released in 2006, marked their entry into the music industry. However, it was their self-titled second album released in 2007 that catapulted them into stardom, featuring hits like "S.O.S" and "When You Look Me in the Eyes." They continued to enjoy success with their third album, A Little Bit Longer, and their fourth, Lines, Vines, and Trying Times.
Following a hiatus from 2013 to 2019, the band made a triumphant return with the hit single "Sucker," which topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Their comeback album, Happiness Begins, also topped the Billboard 200, confirming that their appeal remained unscathed despite the break. In a recent interview with Bustle, they discuss their newfound success after getting the band back together, as well as how their lives have changed ever since they became family men.
The Jonas Brothers Open Up About Their Wives Playing a Big Role in Their Music and Career
The Jonas Brothers' popularity extends beyond music. They have starred in their own Disney Channel series, Jonas, and the successful Camp Rock movies. Their social media presence is robust, with millions of followers, and they are often seen sharing snippets of their lives, including their experiences as husbands and fathers. Kevin married Danielle Deleasa, a former hairdresser, in 2009, and the couple has been inseparable since. They have two daughters, Alena and Valentina, born in 2014 and 2016 respectively, who occasionally make heartwarming appearances on their parents' pages. Joe married Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner in 2019, and they welcomed their first child, Willa, in 2020 and their second in 2022. Nick married actress Priyanka Chopra in 2018, and they welcomed their first child via surrogacy in 2022.
Their music reflects their journey into fatherhood. One song on their new album is called "Little Bird," and it was inspired by Kevin's tattoos of birds that he dedicated to his daughters. It's also a special track for Nick because his daughter was in the NICU for a period of time after being born prematurely. It was a difficult time for him and his wife.
“It’s about all our little birds, I think,” Nick said. “Obviously, I connect with it in a big way after the journey that my wife and I went on with our daughter. But I think what's so special about that song is that it transcends our individual journeys, and hopefully it's going to be an anthem for a lot of parents out there.”
They also talked about how involved their wives are with their creative process and their careers in general. Joe says his wife Sophie "has a good ear," and he trusts her opinion. Nick says all three of the wives helped them select the song "Sucker" as their first single, "which was a pretty essential decision." All three women were featured in the music video for the song as well, in addition to the song "What a Man Gotta Do." It really is a family affair for the Jonas Brothers, and it's refreshing to see Hollywood celebrities embrace their marriages and put so much emphasis on their eternal love.
“I think they’re all connected ecosystems,” Kevin said. “They’re our best friends and our sounding boards.” He jokes that his wife likes to be surprised about what their tour staging looks like, though. That's the one thing he doesn't tell her about beforehand.
