The States With The Hottest Men, Ranked
We all know that America is the greatest country in the world, but it’s also the home to some of the hottest guys in the world.

Though there are many lists out there that rank states with the hottest guys, this list ranks the top 10 states based on famous men from the state.
10. Washington
When I think of Washington, I naturally think of Twilight. Unfortunately, hot vampires and werewolves aren’t real, so we have to focus on hot men who actually exist. Washington is the home state of Jurassic World actor Chris Pratt (swoon), The Walking Dead actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Stumptown actor Michael Ealy.
9. Florida
Though it’s easy to think of the quintessential “Florida man” as a weird dude who makes headlines for doing the craziest things imaginable, there are some Florida men who will catch your eye.
I usually wouldn’t consider Bachelorette contestants who didn’t become leads as celebrities, but Tyler Cameron has 2.2 million Instagram followers and looks like a real life Greek god. He’s also from Florida, adding the state to this list. Florida is also home to singer Jason Derulo and To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before actor Noah Centineo.
8. Georgia
Nashville, Tennessee may be the home of country music, but some of the hottest country singers are from Georgia, proving that the state is worth more than sweet peaches and warm weather. Luke Bryan, Kane Brown, Thomas Rhett, Cole Swindell, and Sam Hunt are all from Georgia. If you’ve never seen any of them or listened to their music, they’re definitely worth the look and listen.
7. Missouri
Missouri can be easily overlooked as a flyover state, but it’s also very diverse and the home to some of our favorite actors.
Before making this list, I thought only Brad Pitt and Mad Men actor Jon Hamm were from Missouri. Upon further research, I discovered that Missouri is also the home state of American Horror Story actors Evan Peters and Matt Bomer, as well as This Is Us actor Sterling K. Brown.
6. New York
Turns out there’s much more to New York than New York City.
Though NYC would be an obvious place to look for hot guys, I have to acknowledge that there’s something special about Buffalo. From actor Chad Michael Murray, NFL star Rob Gronkowski, and NHL star Patrick Kane, there are so many hot guys from one small city that it’s weird.
New York has also blessed us with Old Hollywood actor Humphrey Bogart, modern actors like Robert Downey Jr., and comedians like Colin Jost.
5. New Jersey
Though it’s easy to think of Italian guys who look like bodybuilders and spend too much time in the tanning bed, New Jersey is home to more than the cast of Jersey Shore.
New Jersey will forever have a special place in my heart for introducing the world to reality TV queens like Snooki and Teresa Giudice. But the Garden State also blessed us with Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas. Besides the Jonas Brothers, actor Paul Rudd and MLB star Derek Jeter also hail from New Jersey.
4. Illinois
Illinois may be in the middle of the country, but it’s also home to one of the largest cities of the country (Chicago) and is filled with people of all backgrounds. Luckily, this translates into some pretty attractive men.
Am I a little biased because I’ve lived in Illinois my entire life? Probably, but I also have the evidence to back it up. We can go old school with Ronald Reagan and Harrison Ford (who were both gorgeous when they were younger), as well as actors Vince Vaughan and Jake Johnson, and country singer Brett Eldredge. The best of the best is Jimmy Garoppolo, who was born in Arlington Heights (a suburb outside of Chicago) and is currently the quarterback of the San Francisco 49ers. Jimmy G alone is enough to put Illinois in the top five — just look at him.
3. Texas
Texas is more than ripped guys in cowboy hats and blue jeans — it’s also home to many Hollywood actors and elite athletes.
Though being the home state of Matthew McConaughey naturally gives Texas a top-three spot, he’s not the only hunk from the Lone Star State. Texas is also home to NFL stars Drew Brees and Patrick Mahomes, Gossip Girl actor Chace Crawford, Gilmore Girls actor Jared Padalecki, and Oscar-winning actor and singer Jamie Foxx.
2. Massachusetts
It’s easy to think of a Boston bro who never misses a Red Sox game or a snooty Harvard guy when you think of Massachusetts, but plenty of hot actors and musicians hail from the center of New England.
Massachusetts is another popular home for actors and musicians like Mark and Donnie Wahlberg, Chris Evans, John Krasinski, Matt Damon, and Ben and Casey Affleck. Having so many high-profile actors gives Massachusetts a major boost, but being the home state of the 35th President of the United States (and total dreamboat) John F. Kennedy brings the state to the top two.
1. California
When one thinks of California guys, it’s easy to think of surfer bros with washboard abs and guys moving to Los Angeles in pursuit of a modeling and/or acting career. Though California is so much more than LA, some of the best-looking actors hail from LA and other parts of California.
It’s no secret that the majority of actors live in Hollywood, but some of it’s biggest heartthrobs are native to California. Leonardo DiCaprio, Zac Efron, Chris Pine, Michael B. Jordan, and Jake Gyllenhaal are all from California. It’s not just the home state to actors — NFL stars Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers also hail from California. You can’t get much hotter than Leonardo DiCaprio and Zac Efron, so California gets the crown here.
Closing Thoughts
There you have it, the 10 states with the hottest men in America. Some are no surprise like California and New York, and some like Texas, Illinois, and Georgia show that there are plenty of hot men in middle America too.
