These Female Professions Are Most Likely To Cheat On Their Partners, According To Divorce Attorney
An Arizona divorce attorney reveals the top female professionals most likely to cheat on their partners.

Kate Simonds of Simonds Law Group took to TikTok to share the five female-dominated professions that are most likely to cheat. While not all women who have these jobs betray (or will betray) their partners, maybe Simonds' insights can help us figure out why people cheat in the first place. Perhaps the likelihood of cheating depends on the work environment or personality type.
In 2018, Ashley Madison conducted a survey to find which careers had a greater propensity for infidelity. For men, trades came in at number one, making up 29% of male respondents. "Jobs in trades often mean irregular hours and are often structured in shift work, meaning it's easier for men to fly under the radar when it comes to sneaking around with an affair partner," says Ashley Madison’s Isabella Mise, Director of Communications.
That makes sense, right? Nevertheless, these are the top careers associated with fidelity for women.
Bread Winners and High-Income Earners
According to Farnoosh Torabi, who wrote When She Makes More: 10 Rules for Breadwinning Women, both partners were more likely to cheat in relationships when women had a higher income. But when the opposite is true – when the man out-earns the woman – then she's half as likely to cheat.
Entertainers/Singers
Are we really surprised to see entertainers on this list, when we hear about celebrity cheating scandals all the time? One possible reason is that they have way more options for mate selection and even D-list celebrities are deemed more desirable than your average person. “According to one prominent perspective in relationship science known as ‘interdependence theory,’ celebrities have a high quality of alternatives – which means that if they weren’t with their current partner, their next potential partner would still be pretty great,” explains Gary W. Lewandowski Jr., Ph.D.
He continues, “Basically, even if their Tesla crashes, they would easily replace it with a new Bentley. In relationships, when a person believes that the relationship they’d end up with if they weren’t with their current partner is pretty good, or even better than their current partner, sticking around is a lot less appealing. In other (more technical) words, having a high quality of alternatives undermines commitment."
Flight Attendants
If your partner is a flight attendant, maybe skip this part. U.K.website, IllicitEncounters, is a platform for married and taken individuals who want an affair. They found that flight attendants are among the top five professions most likely to cheat, with their inappropriate rendezvous occurring during layovers in foreign cities, after-work gatherings, and even during flights. Some suggest that the excitement of traveling and the allure of anonymity can lead flight attendants to cheat.
Social Media Influencers
Influencers basically get celebrity treatment these days. Like popular entertainers, the biggest social media stars have a wide range of people to choose from. Many influencers are usually younger, and they don’t really want to settle – they’d much rather repeatedly feel the rush of the honeymoon phase.
Least Likely To Cheat
Simonds created another video to reveal which female professions are the least likely to cheat. According to the divorce attorney, she hardly sees accountants, women in marketing, those who work with animals, scientists, and teachers.
What Does the Data Say?
Let’s take a look at the comments on Simonds’ video because they’re pretty interesting. An overwhelming amount of commenters said that they have experience with nurses cheating. Take a look below.

But what does the data say? Another study by Victoria Milan (basically the U.K. version of Ashley Madison) found that women in the financial space (bankers, brokers, and analysts) were the likeliest to engage in extramarital affairs. Flight attendants and pilots came in second, and healthcare professionals like doctors and nurses came in third. The rest were careers relating to business, careers, sports, arts, the nightlife industry (bartending, serving), law, and communications. Looks like the divorce attorney wasn't too far off.
