Maddison Callaway has gained notoriety after she went on TikTok alleging that the "Euphoria" prop master and his friend threatened to beat and rape her. She claims that she was assaulted and that these men are a danger to women. Evie has reached out to prop master Josh Bramer to hear his side of the story.

Adult film actress and social media influencer Maddison Callaway (@maddisoncallaway) took to TikTok where she posted a video claiming to have had a run-in with a man named Michael Karan and Euphoria prop master Joshua Bramer near her apartment complex. The video, which has garnered over two million views and nearly half a million likes, shows an altercation between Callaway and the two men that allegedly started because they were filming her in her car. According to Callaway, the prop master became obsessed with her porn career and TikTok account. While Callaway doesn't explicitly state the names of the two men in the video (linked below), she did write #joshbramerisdangerous and #michaelkaran in the caption.

Back in August 2022, Callaway says that she was crying in her car after her boyfriend passed away, and that he was the seventh person she had lost since 2020. "I'm losing my f*cking mind," she recalls. "I was screaming, sobbing, and even revving my engine in my car." In the midst of her breakdown, Callaway noticed there were two men filming her from a dog park right next to her vehicle. She got out of her car to confront the men, but they didn't stop filming. Instead, according to Callaway, they allegedly threatened to "beat" and "rape" her.

"They keep filming me, then threatened to beat my *ss, expose themselves to me, threatened to rape me and yell out to everybody my old [porn] name and my TikTok name. They'd obviously been watching me online for a while," she alleges. "Right off the top of their heads, [they] knew all of my information by heart. At this point, I'm spooked. I'm angry about the threats, [I'm] screaming at them and filming them back now."

Callaway claims that the two men came out of the dog park and assaulted her, and one of them smacked the phone out of her hand. She says they took the man she was with at the time to “the ground,” so she pepper sprayed them out of self-defense. The security at her apartment complex eventually escorted the two men out. Following the incident, Callaway grabbed her phone and started recording. "You'll see the footage on my YouTube where it cuts out from me being hit and then where it starts again with me breathing hard and filming them being escorted out by security." The video can be seen below.

Callaway continues: "What you don't see is the prop master looking at me, laughing and going, 'That's not your phone,' as I pick up my phone." She later realizes that the two men had taken her friend's phone, thinking that maybe it was hers. "Now we know they've stolen the phone, thinking it was mine," she says in her video. "Probably thinking they could delete my TikTok, steal my nudes, I don't know what – some sinister plan."

The two men then proceeded to call the police after Callaway pepper-sprayed them. According to her, officials recovered the missing phone from the bushes outside of one of the men's apartments. "So I know the prop master on Euphoria stole it," Callaway says, adding that she’s had to pay $5,000 in attorney fees because the men filed a restraining order against her as a result of her pepper-spray incident. "I brought the story online so we can tag HBO and everyone else [Bramer] works for,” she concludes. “These men are not safe. They're trying to ruin my life. And I don't care what the courts say, I'm warning other women right here."

In the video clip Callaway references, you can see both Bramer and Karan being escorted away by security. It then pans over to two other people and the guard at the dog park. Interestingly, a woman who apparently saw the whole thing tells the guard one of the guys had to get away from Callaway: "He f*ckin' had to get away from her, I saw the whole thing." The guard walks away while the witness shares her account. The woman goes on to tell Callaway that she was “driving like a psychopath,” adding, “It's all the f*cking time, you're screaming.”

In a subsequent YouTube video, Callaway is seen arguing with Bramer and Karan, and at one point Karan appears to moon her. At the end, Callaway is seen saying, “Bye, Michael. Are you gonna beat my *ss? Or his?” Karan says something in return, to which Callaway's friend says, “He just said he’d rape you.” This prompts Callaway to walk toward the men and confront them once again. Karan appears to gets angry, but the footage gets hazy, and the phone suddenly drops.

Callaway has made numerous videos about Bramer, and it’s evident based on the comments and the number of likes she receives that her audience has sided with her. As a result, people have sent Bramer death threats, and some have gone as far as to contact HBO in an attempt to get him fired. Despite this, Bramer remains on social media – and he’s determined to dig his name out of the mud.

Joshua Bramer Denies Allegations

Since Callaway shared her videos, Bramer has faced an onslaught of DMs and hate comments. As a result, he has made his account private. TikTok has failed to promote his videos in response to Callaway's allegations, so I reached out to Bramer to get his side of the story.

"[Maddison] claimed I assaulted her. I never assaulted her," Bramer wrote in a long DM to Evie. While Bramer does say Callaway's name and occupation in the videos, he says this was common knowledge at their complex, and not because he is a stalker. "I only knew her as a TikTok person and that she did porn. Those are the only two things I knew about her," he says. According to Bramer, everyone in the apartment complex knew about her because of her pink room and her large account on TikTok.

Bramer says that Callaway was having a fight with her boyfriend in her car and was "screaming so loud that we thought it was coming from the apartment complex." The two other people featured at the end of Callaway's YouTube video had walked over to the dog park to see what was going on. Bramer claims that Callaway started her car and took off from a parking spot almost hitting multiple vehicles. So, he pulled out his phone to record Callaway in case she pulled out of her spot again and accidentally hit someone. That way, he says, he could report it to the apartment complex. "She must've saw one of us filming and got out of her car and decided to come over and tell us to stop, and I did," he reveals.

Things definitely escalated after Karan is seen turning around and pulling down his pants to expose himself to Callaway. Bramer acknowledges that Karan shouldn't have mooned Callaway, but that he "can't control [someone else's] actions."

While there is debate about what is said at the end of the video, Bramer, who was beside Karan at the time, insists says he heard Karan say, “I f*cking hate you,” not “I’m gonna rape you.” Bramer goes on to say that if you slow down the end of the video, you can see Callaway hit him, and Callaway's friend grabbing Karan by the shirt and seemingly punching him in the face. Unfortunately, that is where the clip ends, but Bramer claims Callaway never actually stopped recording.

As part of my research, I slowed down the end of the video and watched it. It does appear to show hands grabbing at Karan's shirt, but it’s difficult to see exactly what happened. According to Bramer, both Callaway and her friend piled on top of Karan, so Bramer pulled her off, causing his dog and the retractable leash to wrap around everyone. He says that's when Callaway got up and started pepper-spraying everyone. As for the stolen phone? "[Maddison] says I stole her phone, but I definitely didn't steal a phone,” Bramer said. “I'd just been pepper-sprayed; I couldn't see anything.”

When the cops arrived on the scene, they repeatedly requested to see Callaway's recording, but apparently her phone was dying, so she went to her car to charge it. "Ten minutes went by. The cops went to check on her, and they realized she was editing the footage," Bramer states. The cops asked her to revert the clips. After viewing them, they didn't see anything of probable cause, the prop master alleges. They did, however, see footage of Callaway pepper-spraying everyone. "So they said I could press charges," Bramer explains. "When the cops told [Maddison] this, she had a complete meltdown. The next day, she called for a witch hunt on me and Michael."

"When they found out who I was, I started receiving hundreds of death threats and harassment," Bramer says. "And then [I] got a restraining order against her because she lives next door to me, and I didn't know what she would do to me. People were telling her to get a gun."

"The harassment didn't stop until we went to court for the restraining order. We both signed a mutual agreement to stay away from each other and not post about the situation," he says. Bramer says Callaway didn't follow those rules and recorded him walking his dog one day. He asked her to stop, and "she then started to tell everybody that I was her stalker, that I was a danger to women, and that I shouldn't work on Euphoria set. From that moment on, she started to tell that lie from the beginning."

Bramer concludes, "I had to get a cease and desist order put on her because she was doxxing my work information, and telling everybody to harass HBO. This has gotten really out of hand.”

Closing Thoughts

The past few years have been difficult for everyone, especially those who have lost loved ones from the pandemic. I feel for Callaway and the mental health struggles she was going through at the time. However, it’s understandable why people recorded her if she was causing a scene or potentially putting people or property in harm's way. The videos clearly show that tensions were high among all parties involved, and the blame shouldn’t be placed on one person. I can't say who was at fault because I wasn't there. But then again, neither were Callaway's or Bramer's followers.

This serves as a good reminder that when we see anyone making claims in a TikTok, regardless of who they are, take a step back and try to discern every angle of the situation before attacking someone or trying to defame them. Remember, there's always two sides to every story.
