Trevor Noah Angers Fans For “Sexualizing” Harry Styles At Grammy Awards—“It’s Disgusting, So Disrespectful”
2023 Grammy Awards host Trevor Noah is facing backlash for “sexualizing” Harry Styles. The comedian deemed Styles “the World’s Sexiest Man” and a “sex symbol” at the event.
Trevor Noah, who hosted the 2023 Grammy Awards, is now facing backlash for his "sexualized" comments on Harry Styles. The comedian referred to the singer as the “World’s Sexiest Man” during the event – and his fans are not pleased. Styles has apparently made it clear in the past that he’s uncomfortable with being sexualized.
“Women throw their panties at this man when he puts them on, and he looks better in them than they do,” Noah joked. “Easily the World’s Sexiest Man. Are you kidding? There’s no competition sex symbol of the globe, especially now that they killed off the green M&M.”
In 2019, the "Watermelon Sugar" singer revealed that he was uncomfortable with his "sex symbol" status. When asked about it, he responded by saying it was "so uncomfortable." "Honestly, I’d say I try and think about it as little as possible because it’s a very strange, dynamic thing," Styles said. “It’s also like a weird thing to think of about yourself."
The Don’t Worry Darling actor has not addressed Noah’s remarks, but his fans on social media have. "That sex symbol comment still pissed me off and don’t you tell me to get over it either," wrote @harrysflat on Twitter. "Harry has been sexualized since he was 16/17 years old and it’s disgusting. I’m sure Harry hates it just as much we all do."

While Styles has made it clear that he feels discomfort when it comes to the lustful attention he receives, he doesn't seem too phased by Noah's comments. He's likely busy celebrating his Grammy Award for "Album of the Year" instead of focusing on the negatives.
