Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, has been identified as the suspect who attempted to assassinate former President Donald Trump at a campaign rally in western Pennsylvania.

Crooks was shot and killed by the Secret Service after he shot at Trump as he spoke on Saturday in Butler, Pennsylvania. The candidate was shot in the right ear, while a firefighter identified as 50-year-old Corey Comperatore tragically died, and two others were critically injured.

Who Is Thomas Matthew Crooks?

Crooks is from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, about 43 miles from the rally. According to a local newspaper, he graduated from Bethel Park High School in 2022 with a $500 prize for math and science. He is said to have registered as a Republican, leading many to believe Crooks used his "Republican registration as camouflage." Crooks is rumored to have donated $15 to ActBlue in 2021, further fueling these speculations of infiltration.

Jason Kohler, 21, Crooks' former classmate, reported that the shooter was a "loner" who was “bullied so much in high school.”

Was Thomas Matthew Crooks in a BlackRock Video?

Social media sleuths were stunned to find a young man who strongly resembled Crooks in a 2023 BlackRock video. The ad was shot at Bethel Park High School, the same school Crooks attended.

Others compared Crooks' recent photo from the shooting to the man in the video, and their ears and profile appear to line up.

The investment firm's top holdings include Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, and Google. BlackRock seems to have a finger in every pie: "BlackRock Inc is connected in some way to almost every big company and political campaign," wrote user @The_Maker_51212. "They're very much part of the ruling elite classes/shadow donors who actually run the show from the background.."

Reports reveal that BlackRock and Vanguard clients are the two largest shareholders in the six major media companies that dominate over 90% of the U.S. media landscape. BlackRock's CEO, Larry Fink, has been dubbed the "woke face of capitalism."

Given Crooks' background and all of the strange coincidences, many are left perplexed. Was this all an inside job? An X/Twitter user asks, "How does a 20-year-old who had won the 'star award' (and $500) at his high school and no criminal record go on to attempt to assassinate a presidential candidate with an AR-15? and how could he crawl on the nearest roof without the secret service noticing it?"

They continued, "This will be a question that many will want answered in the days to come, along with how this was able to happen with the secret service in attendance."

Crooks used a semi-automatic rifle, according to senior U.S. law enforcement officials. FBI officials say the weapon used in the assassination attempt is believed to have been bought by his father.

Meanwhile, the U.S. mainstream media continues to downplay the assassination attempt.
