Authorities confirmed that Donald Trump was on the fifth hole at Trump International West Palm Beach. According to reports, Secret Service opened fire after spotting a gunman with an AK-47, hiding in the treeline. The suspect fled and was apprehended by law enforcement in a vehicle on Interstate 95. According to Trump's campaign, the former president is unharmed.

This attempted shooting comes just two months after an assassination attempt on Trump during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, which saw a gunman open fire to execute the former president. Stray bullets killed father and firefighter Corey Comperatore. David Dutch and James Copenhaver were also injured during the attempted assassination.

The response of many media outlets and left-wing public figures was quick to downplay the incident or mock the victims and their families. Similarly, there was little to no follow-up investigation, either by federal authorities or the press, on what motivated the attacker or whether there was any larger conspiracy at play.

This has fueled speculation that there may be a reluctance to fully report on or investigate threats against Trump and part of a broader media bias that downplays violence when it's directed toward Trump and his supporters while amplifying incidents involving other political leaders.

When the media fails to cover threats against Trump thoroughly, it not only puts the former president at greater risk but also signals a broader societal acceptance of violence against political figures.

The growing number of attacks against Trump calls for serious reflection on how political violence is covered and the potential implications for public safety. This incident also raises questions about the problem of media manipulation and hyperbolic rhetoric from the Democratic Party.

In the aftermath of today's event, Trump shared a message on X stating, "Nothing will slow me down. I will NEVER SURRENDER! I will always love you for supporting me.”
