The Venice Film Festival's Best And Worst Red Carpet Looks

The 80th Venice Film Festival is missing red-carpet queens Zendaya and Blake Lively, but other celebrities stunned at the event.

The 80th Venice Film Festival isn't generating the typical buzz on social media for one simple reason: The event is noticeably devoid of Hollywood's favorite stars. Zendaya, for example, never failed to make headlines yearly at the film fest; the same went for other A-listers.

The ongoing Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike, joined by the Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA), halted production on numerous films and TV series. Thus, Hollywood productions premiering at fall film festivals – including Venice – are missing its biggest celebrities due to the protest-related restrictions on red-carpet appearances and press tours.

That doesn't mean the festival wasn't full of glitz and glamour, though. Here are some of the night's best (and a few of the "worst") looks from the event.
