Annie Leibovitz, a famous photographer known for her work in Vogue, took to Instagram to share a photograph of Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Clinton, 76, is seen wearing a green button-up, her hair neatly done, and appearing photoshopped in the book cover for Something Lost, Something Gained: Reflections on Life, Love, and Liberty. According to the press release, the upcoming novel is apparently "Hillary like you haven’t seen her before." Will she address the emails? What about the allegations regarding her foundation in Haiti?

The book also "offers a glimpse into her closest friendships and enduring marriage as well as her unvarnished views on politics, democracy, the threats we face and the future within our reach."

Clinton also reflects on her unsuccessful 2016 presidential campaign.

Annie Leibovitz’s Brutal Comment Section

Clinton, who's been labeled a "war criminal" in recent months by pro-Palestinian and Julian Assange supporters, was met with backlash in Leibovitz's Instagram post.

"Something lost, something gain, millions people killed among them god knows how many children," wrote one social media user. "This photo is nothing to be proud of."

"You really captured her disdain for the poor in this photo," wrote a man named Justin. "Her expression is like that time she walked into a normal person's apartment." Many also called Clinton a war criminal and a "swamp creature," among other things.

"Oh Dear God..." someone else commented. "Annie... READ THE ROOM!!! She is awful."

The social media backlash has intensified in the past week following the announcement of Assange's release. According to WikiLeaks, Clinton wanted to "silence" Assange, inquiring, "Can't we just drone this guy?"

Clinton's comments on X/Twitter are currently disabled, while comments have been limited on Instagram.
