This Is Who The "Sex And The City" Characters Would Vote For Today
Would your favorite "Sex and the City" character vote red or blue?

One account on X/Twitter made an entertaining thread on Sex and the City and the iconic characters’ politics. What if our favorite fab four had to choose sides in today’s political arena? Which ones would cast their vote for Donald Trump and which for Kamala Harris?
Carrie Bradshaw
According to @GeyInterrupted on the platform, "Carrie never voted until Big told her she had to vote for Bush in 2000. Essentially apolitical. Her politics are ‘man.’” Okay, true. Also, Carrie would probably see a shoe sale on the way and never make it to the polls.
Then she'd have some big, elaborate woe-is-me story to tell at lunch the next day to explain why she couldn't vote. "I ran into Big and needed to smoke to calm down, and while I was walking, I saw a sale, and you KNOW if Manolos are half-off, then who am I to not indulge?" Carrie would probably say. "I'm actually helping the economy, so in a way, I was doing my civic duty, just in true New York fashion."
Charlotte York
"Charlotte York: lifelong registered Republican. Doesn’t tell the other girls. Has a whole other set of WASPy ladies who lunch friends who share her views. Donates generously,” the user added.
Charlotte York, the embodiment of class and all things proper. While she’s all about fairy tales and finding Mr. Right, she’s also got a Republican heart that she keeps under wraps among her more liberal friends. It’s like she’s hiding her MAGA hat in the back of her closet, only to pull it out for exclusive luncheons with her besties. If she’s donating to the Trump campaign, it’s not just about the money; it’s about aligning with her vision of a perfect world – where her kids attend the right schools, and the brunches are always bottomless.
Miranda Hobbs
"Miranda Hobbs: straight Democrat. Attends feminist readings. Spiritually lesbian. Arrested once while at Columbia for protesting.”
Miranda Hobbs would definitely be spotted at a rally for Kamala Harris. She’s a boss babe, a career-driven lawyer who somehow manages to juggle her job, friendships, and motherhood without breaking a sweat (well, maybe just a little). She’s the typical successful liberal woman.
Samantha Jones
"Samantha Jones: she’s in her bag. Largely votes Republican but, as the most Trump-coded of the girls, donates to both parties and makes sure she’s seen with notable figures from both sides.”
Oh, Samantha would 100% be vacationing at Mar-a-Lago and watching Fox News. But this one is a tough one because Samantha was very sexually active. Still, fans believe she’s likely leaning Republican and can see her casually discussing business strategies with bigwigs while rolling her eyes at the latest headlines.
That said, if she were to vote, she'd choose Trump. She wants a man who will take charge... in and out of the bedroom.
Mr. Big
"Mr. Big is actually literally friends with Trump. They hung out at the same clubs in the ’80s."
And who could forget Mr. Big? He’s the classically masculine, complicated love interest who always keeps Carrie guessing. This man has connections in New York society and likely a friendship with Trump himself. While the series does include various celebrity cameos and mentions of real-life figures, the idea that Mr. Big is friends with Trump is not explicitly stated but rather a playful speculation that aligns with his character as a successful New Yorker who would likely run in elite circles.
Natasha Naginsky
"Ice cold Republican. Zero qualms."
Natasha is cool, calm, and collected, unlike Carrie. She’s a total ice queen when it comes to her political stance. She’s the type who might roll her eyes at Carrie’s romantic dramas while attending swanky parties filled with fellow conservatives. She also has more traditional views on marriage and family and is a socialite.
Aidan Shaw
"Aidan Shaw would be whatever the ’90s equivalent of a Bernie bro is, probably went Nader."
Aidan is probably the most relatable when it comes to progressive ideals. The ’90s version of a Bernie bro is an accurate depiction. If he’s voting for Nader, he’s for sure voting for Kamala Harris.
