Most of the before-and-after photos you see on social media these days are all about women growing their butt bigger or getting cosmetic procedures done on their face. She has lost 150 pounds and told her followers exactly how she did it.

There's a lot of conflicting information out there about weight loss. Some people swear by intermittent fasting while others claim low-carb is the way to go. There's also a growing trend to vilify before-and-after weight-loss photos; the more body positivity takes over the internet, the less people want to see women who have transformed their health and physique for the better. Twitter user @FierceCarrot isn't letting that stop her from sharing her incredible accomplishment, though. On November 6, she shared a picture of her weight-loss progress and wrote, "YA'LL [sic]... I've lost 150lbs. This is a huge milestone for me".
She's wearing a blue dress in the first picture and a pink dress in the second—and she is almost unrecognizable. It's clear that she has put in a lot of work to get to where she is now.
The photo has 75,000 likes and the comments are overwhelmingly positive. People are congratulating her on her transformation and she shared another photo from earlier in her life when she was even heavier.
"For those asking.. This picture is what made me take control of my life back. Being healthy for my daughter kept me motivated," she wrote. "July 2021 308lbs-158lbs 5 foot I'm still trying to lose 30lbs [sic]"
Someone asked, "how did you do it, please?" She responded with her formula: "Calorie deficit and working out 5-6x a week. Eating a high protein/ low carb diet and working on my mental health." Another user asked her if she goes to the gym, and she said yes, she goes five or six times a week. She shared in another comment that she does "an hour of cardio on the elliptical at an incline 5 or 6 days a week."
"How did you get rid of the loose skin?" someone asked. "I still have it, but im trying to learn how to love it until I get it removed when I'm ready," @FierceCarrot answered honestly.
Her thread has inspired others to share their own photos of weight loss or even to get started on their own weight-loss journey. @FierceCarrot's transformation is a perfect reminder that it's possible to completely turn your life around, no matter where you're at today. All it takes is dedication, hard work, and the commitment to never give up no matter how hard it gets.
