Woman Says Her Friend Is A "New York 10" And Details How She's Treated By Men: "I Have Watched Them Just Line Up At Her Feet"
@supersizedsarah shared her experience of being best friends with an attractive woman in her city, dubbing her a "New York 10." According to the TikToker, men began to line up at her friend's feet after she became single, and guys would even gift her randomly.
We all know pretty privilege is a thing. But have you ever experienced it as a New York 10? @supersizedsarah (Sarah) details her fascinating experience with having a gorgeous friend in the Big Apple, dubbing her bestie a "New York 10."
"I don't know if any of you guys are friends with a New York 10," Sarah says, "but I am, and it is genuinely one of the craziest things I've ever experienced." According to the TikToker, when her "very good bestest friend" just got out of a three-year-long relationship, she began attracting all kinds of men – within three days of her romance coming to an end.
"The way I have watched not only every man that we have ever known, but every man we have come into contact with, it's like they can smell her singleness," she explains. "I have watched them just line up at her feet. It's the craziest thing I've ever seen."
"It doesn't surprise me because she's gorgeous and beautiful and smart and funny and kind, but I've never seen anything like this in my life. Like, I don't know what, what kind of spell she has over these men," she adds.
Sarah says she was telling her roommate about her NY 10 friend, who sat down and briefly talked to a guy at a bar. He knew Sarah from college, and he apparently tried to get her friend's address from a mutual acquaintance the next day. "I get a text from our mutual friend that he had reached out to, asking me for her address so that he could send her a bottle of Bourbon on Valentine's day. And who am I to ever deny my friend a gift?"
So her friend gets the free bottle of Bourbon (must be nice!), but as Sarah tells her roommate this story, they hear a knock at the door. At first, she thought it was an Amazon package. When she looked through the peephole, there was no one there. She opened the door to find a box of donuts and a card. "I enter the hallway because I'm thinking, 'someone must have dropped something off at the wrong apartment.'"
The TikToker opens the card and was left surprised. "I open the card, I say 'no f*cking way,'" she recalls what she read, "'Dear my friend's name, it's from my neighbor. Saw you in the hallway. Would love to take you out on a date. Here's my number. P.S. to the other girls of my apartment number, please enjoy these donuts. Love ya!'"
"And it's just like, self-awareness is key. I know I'll never be the girl with the card, the girl with the Bourbon. I'm the girl with the donuts. I'm a girl [that's] 'Thank you so much for having such a beautiful, hot, sexy, funny, kind, small friend that you could introduce me to. Please enjoy this donut.'" Sarah says.
"And you know what? I ate one to 6 apple cider donuts that night, and my friend went on a date, and I think everybody won. And that's that."
Unfortunately for the nosy people (which is everyone reading this, probably), @supersizedsarah doesn't show her audience what a "New York 10" looks like, but we can probably imagine it in our minds. A feminine, nicely-dressed, and confident woman always stands out.
