The terrible takes will surely keep rolling in, but for now, here are the 13 most deranged responses about the attempted assassination of Trump at his Pennsylvania rally.

The Response of the Mainstream Media

In an effort to deceive their audiences and keep their political narratives intact, many legacy media groups have purposefully avoided using the words "assassination attempt."

Even worse, some used the violence as another opportunity to demonize Trump and conservatives.

The New York Times even went as far as editing out the American flag in the heroic image of Trump fearlessly raising his fist moments after a bullet grazed his ear.

Perhaps most disgustingly, CNN, one of the most aggressive disseminators of anti-Trump propaganda, criticized Trump and insist he needed to tone down the rhetoric shortly after he was nearly assassinated.

ABC News quickly followed suit and claimed Trump is responsible for the violence against himself.

And then Forbes posted this. I don't even have words.

Since these publications are are notorious for altering or deleting their initial reports once their deception is caught, people on X made sure to get receipts.

A Clear Contrast

The contrast between the way the media covers Biden versus Trump has always been stark, but this incident exposed just how deeply engrained their bias is.

The Response of Liberal Professors, Politicians, and Trolls

Many liberals publicly lamented that Trump wasn't murdered, with some even saying they were happy that one of his supporters was murdered and injured. Popular liberal commentator, Destiny, who posted a series of tweets claiming Trump supporters were responsible for the divisive rhetoric that led to the near-assignation attempt.

Similarly, a professor and medical director at the University of British Columbia named Karen Pinder expressed her disappointment that Trump wasn't successfully assassinated before shutting down her X account.

Colorado Democrat Steven Woodrow used the near-tragedy to call Trump "the devil."

And the recently exposed fraud "Lakota Man" is pushing a conspiracy theory that the attempted assassination was "staged." This lie is particularly horrifying as the shooter's victim has been identified as a fire fighter named Corey Comperatore who died protecting his daughter.

Other liberal trolls posted similarly bizarre and horrifying commentary hoping and praying that the shooter was a "cis white male."

Allegedly, even an FBI employee named Jenna Howell publicly posted her dissatisfaction that Trump wasn't murdered, as well as hateful posts about gun owners.

While some influential Democrats made statements condemning political violence, many on social media questioned their authenticity given how they consistently speak about Trump and his supporters.

Responding to TDS

Still, despite the mass derangment, there is hope. Many responses on X brought important information to light and offered encouragement, inspiration, and even humor to a gravely serious situation.

Many public figures like Elon Musk, Connor McGregor, and Lou Holtz expressed their unapologetic support for Trump.

And rapper 50-Cent played his hit "Many Men" in honor of Trump and edited his "Get Rich or Die Tryin'" cover with Trump's face.

Other celebrated that the mainstream media can no longer thwart the spread of accurate information thanks to Musk's leadership of X.
