YouTuber Shane Dawson Jokes About The Surrogacy Process With His Husband—Here's His History Of Sexualizing Children And Laughing At An Infant Being Raped

Shane Dawson, whose legal name is Shane Lee Yaw, was early to the YouTube game in 2008 and amassed hundreds of millions of views in his first few years online. He now has 19 million subscribers on YouTube, but there was a point a few years ago when he lost much of his fanbase because a variety of things he said and did resurfaced to reveal his habit of sexualizing children and making inappropriate jokes about minors. He has been involved with a few other well-known YouTubers, such as Jeffree Star, James Charles, and Trisha Paytas. Much of this involvement has been dramatic and problematic, but Shane has since returned to social media to continue his channel.

In his recent video called "The End of Jeffree Star and Shane Dawson," he sat down with Jeffree and his husband Ryland Adams (another YouTuber with 3.79 million followers) and said he has had many "dips" in his career, and every few years he becomes irrelevant, only to rise back up to popularity again. Many people may be new to Shane Dawson, so now is a good time to remind everyone of his long history of sexualizing children.

YouTuber Shane Dawson Has a Long History of Sexualizing Children

In 2020, a clip of Shane resurfaced that showed himself pretending to masturbate in front of a poster of Willow Smith. She was 11 years old when she released her single "Whip My Hair," and in the clip, he said, "Whip your hair back and forth." When people started talking about Shane's actions, Jaden Smith, Willow's brother, posted a since-deleted tweet on Twitter, "SHANE DAWSON I AM DISGUSTED BY YOU. YOU SEXUALIZING AN 11 YEAR OLD GIRL WHO HAPPENS TO BE MY SISTER!!!!!!  IS THE FURTHEST THING FROM FUNNY AND NOT OKAY IN THE SLIGHTEST BIT."

Even Willow's mother, Jada Pinkett Smith, chimed in, "To Shane Dawson ... I’m done with the excuses."

But that's just the start of Shane's lewd behavior in regard to children. In 2014, Shane was recording an episode of "Shane and Friends," when he recalled a conversation with a 6-year-old fan. He referred to the child as attractive. “She shows me her Instagram, and first of all, I don’t know if I’m allowed to say this, but she was kind of sexy,” he said about the fan. His co-host shut down the comment and said it was "disgusting" to say that. Then Shane attempted to defend pedophilia as a "fetish."

“Having sex with children or touching children is terrible, and you should not do it," he responded. "But, here’s my thing - people have foot fetishes. People have fetishes about everything.” He later made an apology video in 2018 and said he "grew up" and changed his content. "I'm proud of who I am today," he wrote on Twitter.

In that apology video, he shared an older clip of himself admitting that he searched for child pornography and even typed in "naked baby." He said he couldn't understand why anybody could be turned on by that, then followed that up with, "But... it was sexy."

Twitter user @belugasong shared a long thread of many other moments where Shane was caught sexualizing children. In one clip, he was video chatting with a young teenager who was a fan of his. He kept telling her to twerk, and after she finally did twerk for the camera, he told her to "show herself."

In another video, he showed a series of photos featuring young girls wearing some of his merch. He said, "I would rape all of you."

Even worse is an audio clip from "Shane and Friends" where he recalled a moment of asking someone to have sex with his dog. "If I had a child, which is the same as a dog to me," he said. "Well, I guess when they're a baby you don't want to picture someone f*cking them." His co-host shared a news story of a man who raped a 4-month-old infant and killed her. Shane laughed and declared, "Amazing!" Then he speculated how exactly the baby would have died during the sex act.

@belugasong then shares two disturbing videos of Shane sexualizing minors in person. One of them was only 12 years old. He asks one of the children to eat a "cocktail weenie" because he checked his statistics and knows he has "a lot of child molesters watching." He later coerces the child into doing a lap dance on someone else while playing a sexually explicit song in the background. The child's face has been hidden to protect her privacy. In the next video, he places a pair of large fake breasts on the girl and jokes about how he didn't know that 12-year-olds could develop so quickly. He asks the dog to lick the fake breasts. He asks the girl inappropriate questions about her genitals and then forces her to dance on top of a table. The video ends with him forcing the girl to "breastfeed" on his chest and asking a woman with large breasts to "breastfeed" the girl.

Shane Dawson and His Husband Are Beginning the Surrogacy Process

After issuing apologies, Shane has picked his career back up like nothing ever happened. Now he and his husband Ryland are sharing their surrogacy process. In a video shared a couple weeks ago, which has 693,000 views, the couple documented their reaction to the egg retrieval process and the reveal of their embryos. They created 12 embryos in total, and they joked about choosing which ones will be born (and thus which ones will be discarded).

Shane's sperm created two girls and four boys, while Ryland's made four girls and two boys. They made "cheaper by the dozen" jokes and laughed heartily about the fact that each of their babies has a barcode. "Of the four boys, which one do we choose?" Ryland asks.

"I don't like playing God," Shane replies, then laughs. "We have to spin the wheel, and we'll put a barcode on each side."

They say they don't want to "play God," but then why aren't they adopting children rather than creating babies in a Petri dish? Even more disturbing is the fact that Shane has such a long history of sexualizing children, and now he is working on creating children in a lab so he can rent a woman's womb and bring a designer baby into his home to parade around on social media. Many people online are disturbed by this development and are understandably upset that these two men are finding joy out of the fact that each of their babies has a barcode.
